Winter has arrived

Published Tue 22 May 2018

While plummeting temperatures has deterred some paddlers from on water training, others brave the elements to train when safe to do so.   Trainee Sweep, Robbie was unfazed by wind and waves  - well little waves, and even managed an excellent 'parking' alongside the pontoon - in difficult conditions.

This Friday some of those members deterred from paddling by the winter weather will be testing their brain power at James Sheahan Catholic High Schools Trivia night - they'll be looking forward to catching up with Pinnacle Junior members who are part of the JSH school dragon boat team.

Others will be heading to Lake Endeavor, near Parkes on Saturday for the inaugural Come and Try of the about to be formed Parkes Dragon Boat Club.

the Marathon paddlers will be returning to Lake Endeavor on Sunday 27th  for what will be, for some the last training session for the Ord River and Port MacQuarie marathons.
