A very enthusiastic crowd of students from James Sheahan Catholic High School fronted up for their first training session of the 2018/2019 regatta season.
A number of "old hands', students who've been paddling 2 or 3 years were joined by those who'd 'tried out paddling at end of Term 3 and some who were trying out for the very first time.
It didn't take long for the 'old hands' to welcome the newcomers, helping and encourage the new paddlers on the finer points of dragon boating. Results of efforts of all are promising. With just a few weeks before the Western Region Regatta, to take place at Chifley Dam, Bathurst early November the JSH team will be getting as much training as possible in before that regatta.
