Robbie Beet was part of the Western Region team contesting the Regional teams at the Championships held on the Sunshine Coast. After months of dedicated training the team were up against some of the best regional teams.  No bling but lots of learning, lots of fun and new friends made.

Isaac Sewak representing the dragon boaters of the future was part of a team of "Joeys", young people from all over Australia, for most paddlers had never trained together and they were competing with teams from other states who'd spent months training together as a team.  Racing over 2 days in 200m, 500m and 2km races the "Joeys" brought home 3 gold and 2 silver
