Pinnacle Dragon Boat Club contribution to dragon boating in Orange was recognized with Coach Pearl being nominated to carry the Queens Baton on its journey to the Gold Coast.

Members of Pinnacle Dragons were there to cheer Pearl along - with some running along side her (as close as security allowed) as she carried the Baton along Byng Street.

Its a huge honour and privilege to be one of just 19 people from Orange, Bathurst, Blayney and Mudgee chosen to carry the baton and to be part of a team of 1000s of sports people (including some very famous athletes) and community leaders from around the world, who were selected to be part of the Queens Baton Relay.
